The information SA gathers

You type in the website address. Site Assistant retrieves (and refreshes on weekly rate) the following information:

• Page title (very important for SEO)

  • Abstract
• Detected advertisments and number of them. Currently detects:
  • Google adsense
  • Toboads/Httpoll ads
  • adPartner
• Detected statistics systems
  • Google Analytics
  • Statcounter
• Page load time

Front page security related information:

• External href-s
• External src-es
• Possible hacking patterns
• Possible errors

Information from external sources:

• Number of backlinks, with history, and link to explore deeper for:
  • Google
  • Yahoo
  • Alexa
• Number of indexed pages, with history, and link to explore deeper for:
  • Google
  • Yahoo
• Google page rank
• Alexa rank
• Alexa reach
• Count of links to your website in DMOZ
• Count of links to your website in Yahoo direcory

Whois information:

• The date the domain will expire
• The date the domain was last updated
• The date the domain was created
• The list of nameservers
• The registrar
• The raw response from the whois server

We spent a lot of focus on how to best show you the information. I think we did ok for now and our task is far from final.

The details

Multiple details categories that you can view one by one or combine together.

There is also the special Hide the rest functionality that removes the surrounding table and all unopened websites so you can better review and compare the websites you opened.
